![]() I think your list is perfect for standard army compositions for an RTS units or if there was a WarCraft Total War type of game. Likewise, Night Elves becoming warlocks makes absolutely no sense whatsoever given their culture and their history. ![]() They never had a love-hate relationship with the Fel like the Horde did. ![]() For example, it makes sense that Pandaren were adverse to fel magic given the history of Pandaria, and thus weren't Warlocks. Rather than having to justify every single race/class combination, it's easier to try justifying which combos SHOULDN'T be. To become a monk, you had to actively seek out teachers in monasteries or the Shado-Pan. Anyone could have become a hunter or warrior, simply picking up a weapon and learning from scratch. There were Pandaren sorcerers, hunters, warriors, and so on. Pandaren were people, just like you and I, who could have become many different things. Pandaren being exclusively monks doesn't make sense. Given the current state of the WoW universe, it makes sense that Orcs would learn how to become mages, as cultural they aren't tied down to traditional warrior/hunter/shaman roles like the were in Draenor and have lots of mage allies to learn from, like the Kirin'Tor (way back in pre 5.0 lore), the Forsaken, the Blood Elves (starting with 2.0), the Nightborne (starting with Legion), etc. Every single race would naturally have warriors (including Gnomes and Goblins yes). Would have been nice if we had gotten custom spell effects (like how druids get different forms depending on their race).įor the most part, WoW's current race/class combinations make sense. They're pretty much a completely different class in lore, but since it isn't practical to actually develop a different class just for the Tauren, they were just made into paladins and priests for gameplay purposes. ![]() They are nothing like the holy, light worshipping paladins or priests of the alliance. Tauren paladins and priests are Sunwalkers Tauren who worship An'she, the sun. So during Cata they founded a new sect, the Sunwalkers, as counterparts to the moon worshipping Druids. Druids worship the moon, but during Wrath the Tauren realized "hey, if we worship the Earth Mother, shouldn't we also respect her other eye, An'she, the sun?". The Tauren worship the Earth Mother, and view that sun, An'she, and the moon, Mu'sha, as the two eyes of the Earth Mother. I am just looking for arguments for more combination to lessen my OCD about these things.Tauren paladins and priests are well justified, and in fact were an inevitable lore development. I am just looking for arguments for more combination to lessen my OCD about these things. If you want Tauren Priest and a Warlock Vulpera then go ahead. I don't want anyone to reroll or racechange. Robot as a pet and shooting with a laser cannon?Īlso, I am not trying to prevent anyone using any combination they like. Human: Warrior, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Mage, Deathknight. Highmountain: Druid, Shaman, Warrior, Hunter Undead: Rogue, Warlock, Priest, Death Knight, Mageīloodelf: Hunter (Marksman), Paladin, Mage. Orc: Deathknight, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior Hunter. With Shadowlands changes to leveling an alt would probably only take 3-4 days.Īnyway, in preperation to this I would like to discuss what race and class/specc combos do you think fits well together according to lore and looks.įor example, Tauren priest just doesn't seem right to me. One of the most obvious ones are emissaries that can be done on 10 alts for 2000 gold each for a total of 20k gold. There are many reasons I think to have a battalion of alts on your account.
